March 4-10: it's a trap!

So if you know anything about Weiss Kreuz/its history I like to think this'll make you laugh.

I've been working away here and there these past few days at sussing out character design for 11 reincarnated characters from Weiss Kreuz (ideally their look will have a CLAMP spin, bc this is a CLAMP/WK mashup type deal). If you recall, back in the day WK's creator lost the rights to the original character design for its characters and had to undergo a redesign; poor choices were made (imho; ymmv). It was infamous amongst the fans. One might say reviled.

So as I sit down to REDESIGN WEISS KREUZ CHARACTERS--

...you see my dilemma.

I mean, I can let CLAMP carry some of this weight: of course they'll look a bit different with a slight CLAMP spin. BUT. They are reincarnated, so being different(ish) people, they'll have slightly different looks. I say slightly different because I've decided I cannot go in a whole new direction and have it still be compelling in the way I'd like. (And there's some plotplotplot later, but to begin with, they can't look like their WK canon selves.)

Anyway the Gluhen redesign thing blindsided me somehow. It's all really fucking with my confidence, so progress is maybe a bit slow. ;)
