"In All Honesty" will definitely end up being longer and deeper than I first thought, because today I had a lightning strike of insight as the story unlocked to show me something new. I live for that stuff, but it does mean more work. There are a couple things in this Saiyuki WIP I haven't done in a fic in this fandom before.

I just can't get my beta around to talk about it until this weekend....

Still not much brain yesterday, but I'm feeling a little better this morning. Some progress regardless:

Project 4 -- picked out a couple more potential poems, including a passage from the Lusiads, and coded a few things; arranged part 2 ("Swells") into a preliminary sequence with progression, and decanted what I had into the ongoing ebook for consideration.

Project 1 -- Sent copies of that book and the Kokinshu collection to a reviewer for a relevant magazine.

Goals for today: Compile all my freelance financials for taxes. Stretch: anything at all on the Project 3 cover letter.

Onward!

Fandom: Tanakh/Hebrew scriptures
Format: Drabble
Warnings: none
Notes: 100 words. Hannah was the mother of the prophet Samuel. She promised his lifelong service to YHWH before his conception (possibly as a class of person called the "netanim", the "given/dedicated people") and also promised at least part of another set of vows would be incumbent upon him. The implication is that in giving up one child she would be granted others. Isaac and Jephthah's daughter were both offered as sacrifices. Isaac was saved.
