Today I found out that, from the pages I checked, none of the images are loading at
saiyuki_manga. I tried one of the download links and got files from Mediafire that seemed to be okay--though Microsoft Edge gave me a big red page telling me the site was dangerous--but the translations are in a Word file in the zip along with the images, separate, which makes things a little more laborious. (All this is f'locked, so you have to be a Friend to see anything.) To actually do the canon review of
Saiyuki Reload Blast an easier way, I'll have to download each chapter of
the scanlated version offered at Project Kurai. There are many chapters.
Unfortunately, Project Kurai doesn't seem to have the last chapters of
Reload, which I don't have in a physical book because Tokyopop died before getting to them, so those I'll have to use
saiyuki_manga to download one at a time at unsafe Mediafire, then compare the images and the Word file. But I'll concentrate on
Blast for now since that's what I need a review of for my WIP.
I'm sad about what's happened to
saiyuki_manga. Such fond memories, like the excitement of seeing a new post of another chapter and telling friends it was up, go see it! The comments and camaraderie were always fun too.
It's hard out here for a non-Japanese
Saiyuki fan.
