Finished proofing, entered all changes. The facepalm for me was when I noticed I'd never converted three periods to ellipses. The facepalm for Word was when I noticed that kerning was turned off by default. Uploaded final file and print cover to KDP, and requested a proof copy—should arrive Thursday or Friday. And that was my goals.

Beyond that, I created an ebook cover based on the print cover, recompiled ebook, and quickly realized a) the cover needs tweaks, as does b) my ebook CSS.

Goals for 29 Oct: Tweak/finalize ebook cover and formatting. Stretch: compile All The Keywords and enter them in KDP.

Weekend Report

Friday night: Still avoiding the sock, I put a few rows into the Gryffindor scarf. Also laundry.

Saturday: So many things. Got up early enough to be at the early voting when it opened at 7, grocery right after, then shoes and new house pants, checked on getting the sewing machine looked at ($110 just to look at it, ouch), picked up my comics, posted a package to bestie, had lunch, then got back home and made a quilt block. Which I posted on my Instagram. Handsewing is really slow, of course, but I kinda like it? For the smaller sections like this. I have no intention of trying to handsew a garment.

Sunday: The rest of the laundry! And another quilt block, which I did not take a picture of. It does look a little better than the first, though. Some of the points line up!

So, no words done, minimal knitting done, but a fair amount of crafting anyway.
