23 October check-in and a first draft

I've been having pain and fatigue issues big-time this month, which has had a huge effect on my productivity, which has been almost nil. However! I made some big progress on the untitled 12th fic in my And Yet, Hayama Hayato Can Still Surprise slash series in the My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU fandom. I also finished the short gen SNAFU fic I'd been working on. It's about 795 words but doesn't have a title or summary yet, though it does need both of those. Here that is, untitled and without a summary.

I got zero fiber artsing done last night.

I did get some words on the page, though. And a bit of an outline, which is nice.

To Do Tonight: fiber arts is back on the list. I've got a call scheduled with a friend and I would like to be able to update her on my progress.

23 October check-in

Almost finished print cover. Was getting loopy near the end so decided to bag it and judge the results tonight.

Proof copy arrived a day early, and casual leafing through found gutters fine but a couple other page layout things to tweak. So I’ve got three proofing passes ahead of me: layout issues, lineation issues, and actual proofreading for mechanicals (A couple days ago I found a non-curly quote! argh!!)

Goal for today: Finish printbook cover, adjust page layout. Stretch: Crop and adjust cover for ebook.

October 22th - Saiyuki ficlet (350-ish words)

SUDDENLY, A WILD WRITER'S BLOCK APPEARS!

They kind where you find the mere idea of writing quite repelling. I suspect it has to do with the fact that I made an outline for the rest of the days. My subconscious must find that constricting or something, I don't know.  But I'm working on some kind of compensation, so I'm posting two pieces today.
