Saturday was going to be my big writing day, but then family needed to be driven somewhere while my nieces needed a few hours of babysitting, so that didn't happen. Maybe today (after I go to sleep for a while and wake up)?

In the interests of giving you guys an idea of what I'm working on, here's another two bits from "Heathens," these being part of a conversation Schuldig and Nagi have.

Oct 13: Felt like shit all day. Did fuck-all.

Oct 14: Renae of CupcakeTrainings had a webinar so I watched that. (Well, am watching, but she's moved on to pitching her paid courses: bored now.) Lots good info, though I'm still pissed about the capitalist-class thinking. I need to do a lot of thought now. (Signature product line? Huh? What?) I've only been awake an hour and a quarter, though, and an hour of that was this webinar, so I'll come back to the fiber arts. :)

Notes: 454 words, 1920s Artist AU. My internet went out yesterday, which was irritating, breaking my streak of daily posting! This is yesterday's ficlet. ("The Treachery of Images" is the title of Magritte's image of a pipe captioned Ceci n'est pas une pipe.)

So I finally missed a day of posting here. It was bound to happen at least once.

Friday evening went really well. I finished a second column of quilting!

Saturday I ran All The Errands, prepped for today's game, and then burned off nervous energy by quilting several more blocks.

Today was the first game session (no one died! the players said it was great! they want to schedule another session!) and I will probably quilt a few more blocks when I'm done on the internet.

I did not make my lofty goal of finishing this week, but I'm still on track to finish this month. It's getting there, stitch by stitch. I can feel the muscles in my hands getting used to this activity; it's pretty cool.

No writing happened today.

What I did instead: famers market (it's weekly and right down the street), cooked (chicken casserole with mixed mushrooms and other veg, applesauce, and roasted sweet potatoes, mostly using farmers market stuff), cleaned up kitchen, tag-teamed my husband with the wash, went to the grocery for stuff I didn't/couldn't get at the farmers market.

I also fiddled some more with the fall/winter Pinterest board I made for my Stitchfix stylist (started that yesterday, actually).

Then I sorted out a huge pile of boring but necessary paperwork.

And now it's bedtime.
