Oh, I have so many directions I could go. I have like 5 or 6 stories in my head ready to be ripped out, like Athena from Zeus' brow. (Because of course my stories are goddess-like and awesome!! ;) )

I don't have much of a preference in terms of which to work on, so if anyone does, let me know.

In no particular order:

* Miami-verse Saiyuki story that was started last year. And then my computer died. (AU)
* Cyborg Gojyo/ Mage Hakkai: iPost-apocalyptic world of hostile Fae and humans hanging on by the skin of their teeth in isolated enclaves (AU)
* Kenren/ Tenpou: Weird things going on in heaven, dragons rebelling, Heaven being... Heaven
* Saiyuki: Inspired by Sleeping Beauty. The ikkou gets trapped in a pocket dimension, among other things. Oh no!

Okay guys, our challenge starts tomorrow, are you ready?

I've been thinking of the possible posting format. I don't think an extra-long heading will be necessary, so I'll just suggest here some guidelines to make the experience easier for everyone and include some order in an otherwise possibly chaotic posting model?

1 - Common sense: if your post is going to be long, use the cuts. If your content is going to be NSFW, use the cuts and include a warning. If your content is potentially triggering, use the cuts and include a warning. If you're posting an ass-huge pic, use the cuts. Again, common sense, even if I didn't specifically mention the case here. If you don't trust your common sense, just ask me.

2 - Maybe a heading with the following information could be useful: Fandom, Format/Medium, Warnings, Notes. Only if applicable, you can skip it if not. Maybe the rating, too. I don't think your name or the date are necessary because they are visible on the post anyway, but you're also free to include it if you want, as well as info about pairings and characters (maybe inside the "fandom" category? Like, "Fandom: Weiß Kreuz, Crawford/Schuldig, sort of gen"). Since everybody is doing very different shit, I'm not totally in favour or imposing a strict heading template, just follow your heart and take into account that a long heading will make for a long post and it'll be more probable that you will need a cut. I think I'll just post an example or two in the comments.

3 - You may make use of the tags, especially your name might be a good idea if you want to keep track of your own post or want to follow your favourite author/artist's work. Maybe also the fandom and the format.

And I think this might cover the most important points? Please, do let me know if you have any suggestion or if you are rolling your eyes particularly hard at my vagueness and lack of assertiveness (I might not notice from here otherwise).

Well, I was hoping for something more concrete...but the project I was hoping I would work on remains utterly stuck in my craw. There's some fundamental aspect of it that I cannot make work somehow. It is incredibly frustrating. I've been poking at a different idea, but its general form is much less...visible, which frustrates me in an entirely different way.

So I think, perhaps, a better goal for me will be just to begin writing something at all. Perhaps, if I manage to begin, I will be able to make some sense of it. Maybe even enough to see it through to the conclusion.

Of course, with how busy work has been, how wrung-out I've been, and the Thanksgiving holiday next weekend (thanks for that, Canada) I feel it's best if I set myself a very, very modest goal of 100 words a day.

Anything is better than nothing!

Hi all! *waves*

My goals for October are pretty simple:
- Finish two short original fics.
- Do at least 5 doodles of some kind.
- Take at least 3 pictures I enjoy with Jones (new camera).
- Write at least 10 days of micro/flash fition
- Work on learning to drum/work on doing the drum cover of Vixy and Tony's 'Uplift'.

My current goal for the month is to write a little on a different prompt or WIP each day. I'm not trying to finish anything or post anything, just write some new things. I've got hundreds of prompts saved from previous challenges and exchanges and want to try writing a few. I picked about 2/3 at random and then selected the others.

I think I'd like to write something at least 5 times per week, even if it's just a bit on a longer work.

Concrete-wise, I think I want to end up:

  1. Finishing my drabble series
  2. Writing my Trick or Treat assignment and at least two additional treats (those are due Oct. 24, so I need to watch the calendar)
  3. Responding to at least three requests here (but I'm not promising specific lengths)

Plans!

My plan, if it can be called that, is to write every day. Ideally I will produce at least a drabble every day, almost certainly for already existing fic series. I suspect that most if not all will be WK. I plan on begging for prompts quite shamelessly.

So that's it - a minimum of 100 finished words per day. The ficlets and drabbles may fit into the fic series or may be AUs to the AUs.
