Did stuff, if not quite all the way to goal:
• HelloChinese several reviews (still don’t have all the previous lesson down) and Duolingo review
• Poked at Tang Shi #41 but got distracted and didn’t return.
• Read 贪吃的嘟嘟 (“Gluttonous Dudu”), in which Dudu learns, on his fourth birthday, that eating too much can give you an owie tummy, and promises never ever do that again. In my experience, most three-year-olds have already met this, but whatever. Of possible note: Dūdu’s name is almost dùdù, a childish word for stomach (the grownup word is dùzi).
(I first tried reading a bit from another book about the origins of some common four-character idioms, but it was too much of a stretch to be useful practice — so that goes back on the shelf for later.)
Onward!
