31 October check-in

Completed fixes to the last old book and uploaded it to my distribution channels.

So checking in for what's been done this month: most of a publication of a book. Not quite finished, but I think I can say I got shit done, so thank you all for the encouragement and accountability -- it has helped.

Still to be done: Make a scattered handful of corrections print and ebook, finish an ebook cover, upload ebook and assign an ISBN, add said ISBN to copyright page of both print and ebook, re-upload ebook, tweak print cover, review final print proof & make any necessary changes, upload final print text & cover, and push the publish button. Ideally, I'd like to get this all done in time that I can have copies shipped to me to have on hand next weekend, when I'll be at our local SF con. This may not happen. But I'm going to try.

November Goals!

Ambitious Goals: SIL J's headwarmer, three fleece tie blankets for nibling giftmas, finish the heckin' sock, and write many words on the small-town romance novel.

Realistic Goals: Finish sock, some words, buy fabric for blankies, cast on for headwarmer

Whether we are doing NaNoWriMo or not, we can support each other in getting some shit done in November!

Wow, what a month we've all had! I want to thank lauand for having the idea to do this and then for Getting Shit Done and actually making the comm and getting us all to Get Shit Done! Well done everyone - whether we did a lot or a little, things got done, things got planned and if life got in the way at times, that's just the nature of life.

1 November follow-up

Between The Kid falling asleep much earlier than usual and my staying up late, I finished ALL production tasks for Ice Melts in the Wind. All that's left is for it to work its way through distribution channels, after which I post a formal release announcement.

In other words, the Shit. Got. Done.
