October 20 Check-In

I did my Yuletide signup!! . It's about 8 hours before the deadline.

OMG. Is that ever a production, what with the letter (I still need to flesh out some more about ideas and prompts, but I put brief ones in my signup) and then the actual big signup.

I put in 6 requested fandoms and for once don't feel stressed about that: I took Larry's advice for most of them and dug into old Dear Author letters for requests that never got fulfilled in previous exchanges. And I offered 9 fandoms, IIRC.

Now I'm off to look at the Trick or Treats list for some ideas for short treats to write.

I'm really glad we're doing this. It's very motivating.

Work was a complete and total bitch this week - I'm lucky I did anything but sleep!

Tuesday-Friday I was useless.

Today I made 20 pairs of earrings while I binged-watched Forged in Fire a "Chopped"-type competition, except instead of chefs it's bladesmiths. COOL STUFF. Now I want to make a sword. :P

Tomorrow's going to be Studio Day, I think. (I hope!) I need to cut more spoons for rings, bracelets, and earrings, and I've learned the hard way that I need to space that work out or I hurt for days.
