March 5-6

Another two day check-in because time got away from me.

I missed meditating yesterday, but I managed it today, and I did a character dossier yesterday as well as a few paragraphs of fanfic today. Still no programming that wasn't for day job, but I figure 8 hours a day is a lot of that to ask anyone. I can do free time coding on the weekend, maybe.

(Not on my goal list for this month, but a fun accomplishment nonetheless: tonight I spent 2 hours bashing my face, metaphorically speaking, against the new extreme fight in the MMO that I play. I and my seven companions finally made it to phase two, which is a really nice accomplishment considering that three quarters of us rolled in completely new to it! Being at the edge of current content is a new experience for me after six years of playing, so. Accomplishment!)

Okay:

Illustration -- failed again. Obviously the next frame is anxiety inducing. But tomorrow I'll try to force myself to fucking face it once and for all.

Fanfic -- PULLING TEETH AGAIN. But I managed to finish one snippet. I'll definitely go over it tomorrow again because it needs editing, I'm sure, but I need some distance to decide how and now I'm really sleepy and can't think.

And that's all.

 

No Progress Due to Urgh

All week my head has hurt badly, and a few days I had early spring allergy full-body weakness to go with it. (So far the nerve blocks I was injected with a week ago have not been helping at all.)

My beta actually gave me a pass on my first draft of the Andromeda gen WIP, but I need to go back over it and see if I should add more of Dylan reacting amidst the dialogue. Alas, my brain can't handle that these days.

• HelloChinese new lesson + reviews and Duolingo review
• Finished 美丽的小路 (“The Pretty Pathway”) — while Mr Duck did help the friends clean up, it’s not clear he learned anything. Okay then. (The next story is 贪吃的嘟嘟 (“Gluttonous Dudu”) and overeating at a party is involved — hmm.)
• Poked at Tang Shi #40, but got no further than prose with line breaks rather than actual verse (let alone poetry). Did write up much of an endnote, though.

Not the full three things of my goal, but still good.
