Did barest minimum reviews on Duolingo and Hello Chinese, read a couple pages of 小红帽 (Xiǎo Hóng Mào, aka Little Red Hood) before being interrupted right after meeting the Wolf, and swotted literal prose of poem 39 from 300 Tang Poems into passable verse -- but I can't finish polishing yet, as it's the first of a four-poem sequence, and I need to do the other three first, so I can make them match in form and style.

Which is not really the full goal on any, but it was three things instead of the commit of two, so I'm counting that as meeting my goals.

Today should be better. Weekends, the kid's about (and they had two performances and a play-date, this time) making it harder to get shit done.

I meditated.

I wrote three paragraphs of fanfic.

I also figured out under what part of the ever-shifting alphabet soup that is the US Government the spooky secret agency that is a background presence in the novel would have been formed (and still exists - it was an exciting dice roll between the FBI, the CIA, and the suggestion from my husband that eventually won, the Secret Service).

Not bad for a 12-hour day.

Okay, mixed results:

-- Illustration: I didn't do the frame (not even started it), but that was because I got a call to decorate the windows (with window markers) for a restaurant tomorrow and I had to plan and design and research lettering and stuff because I can't work on the go, I need time to think things through and check if they visually work. That means that I'm not sure about tomorrow having the time to work on the short film, either, because I'm slooooooooooooooow. We'll see. But hey, I did draw something.

-- Fanfic: wrote today's snippet and, although it was still hard (and I still doubt if it's boring shit what I'm doing or not), it was better than yesterday (probably because it was Gojyo's POV and that's always the easiest for me, not because I'm getting into the habit after just one day). Also posted another snippet.
