No writing done Sunday because I woke up at 8 am, which would've been 7 am if Daylight Savings Time hadn't just kicked in, to get on the road by 9 am (8 am) to get to New Jersey for a day out with a friend talking, eating, and seeing Captain Marvel. The ride over had less traffic than usual for Sunday at that time, probably due to DST and the pouring rain, the last of which made it a grueling drive. I didn't get home until 10 pm, and I went to bed an hour later from exhaustion.

Monday was a PT session and then getting more sleep.

I also have another short Saiyuki fic idea. Brain, we have talked about this.

12 March check-in

Did not get anything done on Project 3 -- instead, spent meetings researching Project 4 on my phone, getting through a couple old anthologies looking for material. Evening was spent adulting.

Goal for today: Do SOMETHING related to Project 3, specifically finish researching similar books, before even touching the admittedly much more fun Project 4 (which is still in the OO! New! Shiny! stage). Stretch goal: edit Project 3 proposal to address known similar books.

(Icon is a Project 3 icon. I don't have a Project 4 icon, and I'm out of icon slots anyway.)

Yesterday I poked at plot and backstory stuff without really adding words.

19:00: I think I figured out why I stalled this time? A gun is about to go off and I haven't shown it's on the mantelpiece yet.

Here's the problem: To get the gun on display, I have to revise the dialogue I already wrote.

I hate editing!

That said, the action I just broad-strokes choreographed is 278 words.

March 12th - Okay, I'm still behind schedule but not bad, not bad...

Two days of migraine and then social stuff tonight, BUT, I still got a FEW things done.

* Finish an embroidery project
I'm almost done with the central design (the tricky part). After that it's easy.

* Finish 3 genprompt_bingo fics for a line (0/3)
No progress.

* Finish character dossiers for my novel
I'm still working forward but fighting a feeling of samey-ness on my internal/external conflicts. I mean. The characters are a group of people who signed up for the same terrible bad-ending mission, so there's overlap in desires and flaws, but also. This feels bad. Maybe I'll feel better soon.

* Write on 26 days: 11/26
Even only a sentence counts.

* Read 4 outstanding library books before the due date (2/4)
two thirds of the way through book 3!

* 10-day meditation streak
THIS IS THE ONE THING I'm doing consistently. 18 days! I'm gonna make it to 20, damn it.

(Due to aforementioned migraine & social I am super behind on reading/responding to everyone else, I promise I will do it tomorrow, and I'm sorry.)
